Few of my felt works are now at The Helsinki Artists’ Association Art Lending Gallery. One of the works is “Glow”, wet felted wool, silk and viscose, size 180 x 205 x 5 cm.
Art can be acquired from the Art Lending services either with a single payment or with a monthly rent. Once the full price of the piece has been paid, the ownership of the work is transferred from the artist to the purchaser. The work can be returned to the Art Lending services at any time. Kasvusto is in Helsinki Artists´Association´s Art Lending Office’s Christmas Exhibition. This year the theme is Syrup – to end this year lightly, Art Lending Office wants to offer the customers a taste of sweet kitsch and humour. Island of Empathy explores the relationship between human beings and nature. The exhibition looks into the potential of art as a means of healing individuals, but also the ills of society while researching the notions of empathy, healing, and intersubjectivity in the context of human and non-human interaction.
The exhibition is organised in Helsinki both at HAA Gallery in Suomenlinna between 5 June–21 August 2021 and at Malmitalo Gallery between 10 June–20 August 2021. Island of Empathy is produced by Helsinki Artists’ Association in collaboration with London-based Arts Territory. The exhibition is part of Helsinki Biennial and Art Fair Suomi Goes Galleries.
