Public art work Tiedon rysät was installed in September 2021 in a new Lighthouse hospital in Turku, Finland. The hospital has a nautical overall theme in its design. The shapes of my work take inspiration from fyke net, the fishing equipment. Tiedon rysät consists of five separate “fykes”. Their materials are stainless steel rings and coloured ropes. All pieces have different size, the diameter of the fykes are 120 – 180 cm and heights 250 – 350 cm. The building of the hospital will finish in the end of 2021, and it will open to public in February 2022.
